Description

2 small and weak possible NP : StDr 167 & 174 Xavier Strotner and Marcel Drechsler discovered 2 possible NPs located in the Triangulum Australe. We tried to image them, they are very weak since they do not appear at all on 20-minute narrowband brutes. After 30 hours in Ha and OIII it is possible to see them appear, the 2 are very close.StDr 167 is a confirmed NP (PN-G: 323.3-06.9) for which a spectrum has already been performed by Pascal Le Dû, it has a diameter of 1.2 arc minutes. It has a crenulated circle shape and is only visible in OIIIStDr 174 is larger but more diffuse and it emits in HA and OIII the resultant makes it appear bluish-grey and does not have a really well-defined shape (like streaks). Since it is very weak, no spectrum has yet been made to confirm its nature. Its approximate size is 7.5 x 5 arc minutes. We present you the complete field, with a starless crop in version B to better identify them. The treatment was not easy and we chose not to overtreat in order to keep them looking "natural".
